BATON ROUGE – No. 10 Texas A&M downed LSU, 5-2, to capture the series sweep Sunday afternoon from Alex Box Stadium. The sweep marked the first for the Aggies (31-7, 12-5) over the Tigers (23-18, 6-12) since joining the SEC.

Weston Moss was tabbed the starter and worked 4.1 scoreless innings. The right-hander allowed just three hits, two walks and struck out five batters. Gavin Lyons (7-0) earned the win out of relief, tossing 2.2 scoreless innings. The Guilford, Connecticut, native did not allow a hit and struck out two hitters.

Caden Sorrell put the Maroon & White on the board first with a solo homer in the opening frame. In the second inning, Bear Harrison made it 2-0 on a sacrifice fly. Chris Hacopian doubled the Aggies' advantage in the third inning with a two-run shot to left field.
