COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M track & field greats Sam Whitmarsh and Jacob Wooten are set to compete at the inaugural Lone Star Grand Prix Fueled by 44 Farms. The World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meet will takes place June 6 at E.B. Cushing Stadium and tickets are on sale now.

Fans of Texas A&M will have the opportunity to welcome recent Aggie alumni back to E.B. Cushing Stadium. Wooten '19, will compete in the pole vault. At Texas A&M he was an SEC champion and held school records in both the indoor and outdoor vault. Wooten competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Also returning to campus is Whitmarsh '25 who will race in the 800m. He's the 2025 NCAA champion in that event and won four SEC titles in an Aggie uniform.

Other headline athletes announced for the meet so far include Olympic gold medalist Quincy Hall who will return to the track for a 400m showdown against world indoor record holder Khaleb McRae. Hall makes his return to competition exactly one year after his last race—a victory in the 400m at the Rome Diamond League on June 6, 2025. The 2024 Olympic champion is the fourth-fastest man in history at the distance, highlighted by his 43.40 performance in the Olympic final in 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
While Hall stepped away from competition, McRae surged onto the global stage. In 2025, he broke 44 seconds for the first time and earned silver as part of Team USA's 4x400m relay at the World Championships. He has carried that momentum into 2026, setting a pending indoor world record of 44.52, winning silver at the World Indoor Championships, and anchoring Team USA to gold in the 4x400m relay.
