Four Aggies Receive All-America Recognition from D1Baseball

COLLEGE STATION – Four members of the Texas A&M baseball team garnered All-America honors from D1Baseball, as announced by the organization.

First baseman Gavin Grahovac and outfielder Caden Sorrell received Second Team All-America designations, while relief pitcher Clayton Freshcorn was tabbed to the Third Team. Third baseman Nico Partida was selected as a First Team Freshman All-American.

Freshcorn established himself as one of college baseball’s top relief arms in 2026, finishing with a 2.82 ERA and a conference-best 12 saves across 27 appearances. The junior logged 54.1 innings, striking out 56 batters while allowing just six walks en route to a 1.05 WHIP. Nine of his 12 saves required multiple innings, while his seven saves in SEC play tied for the league lead. The Waller, Texas, native has garnered All-America recognition from three different outlets and was a finalist for the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award. The right-hander was also selected to the All-SEC First Team.

Grahovac continued his status as one of the SEC’s premier offensive performers after batting .339 with 22 home runs, 74 RBI and 76 runs scored. The junior added 16 doubles, three triples and posted a .722 slugging percentage. During league play, he led the SEC in slugging percentage (.754), home runs (13), RBI (43) and runs scored (40), while his 1.172 OPS ranked third. The Orange, California, native paced the Aggies with 26 multi-hit games and added 20 multi-RBI contests. His standout season was recognized with First Team All-SEC and All-SEC Defensive Team designations and was honored nationally with All-America nods from three different outlets.

Partida delivered one of the most impactful freshman campaigns in the conference, batting .306 with 12 home runs, 43 RBI and 45 runs scored across 48 starts. The rookie infielder recorded eight doubles and 17 multi-hit performances while posting a .408 on-base percentage. He also produced 12 multi-RBI games and swiped four bags during his debut season in Aggieland. The Manvel, Texas, native earned a spot on the All-SEC Freshman Team and has earned Freshman All-America honors from three other outlets.

Sorrell strung together a highly productive offensive season, hitting .341 with 23 home runs, 76 RBI and 67 runs scored in 55 starts. The junior became the first Aggie since 1999 to record at least 20 doubles and 20 home runs in a season, finishing with a team-best 20 doubles and 23 round-trippers. He recorded a team-best 21 multi-RBI games to go along with 23 multi-hit performances, producing a .743 slugging percentage. In SEC competition, Sorrell hit .317 with 12 doubles, 10 home runs and 35 RBI. The Highland Village, Texas, native received First Team All-SEC and All-SEC Defensive Team recognition, while also being tabbed the NCBWA District VII Player of the Year. With the honor, Sorrell becomes a unanimous All-American, earning recognition from every major outlet this season.
