CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Texas A&M’s Cayetana Fernández García-Poggio and Brynn Kort were named to the 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholar Team, the organization announced Monday.
The Women's Golf Coaches Association recognizes student-athletes who boast a cumulative GPA of 3.5-or-higher and have played in at least 50% of the team's rounds throughout the year. This year, 1,551 student-athletes were honored across the country.
Fernández García-Poggio is being recognized for the third time in her career, while Kort is making her first appearance on the team as a freshman. The duo helped lead the program to a No. 1 seed at the Waco Regional and a No. 6 overall ranking to end the year.
Fernández García-Poggio was also a CSC Academic All-District honoree for her work in the classroom. The junior was an All-SEC First Team selection this season and a Golfweek Third Team All-American.
Kort locked in a spot on the All-SEC Freshman Team after playing in 13 tournaments and 35 rounds for the Aggies in her debut campaign.
