Mayor John Nichols and the City of College Station honored the national champion women's tennis team at Thursday's city council meeting, officially proclaiming July 23, 2026 "Texas A&M Women's Tennis Day".
Joining the Mayor for the presentation were National Coach of the Year Mark Weaver and assistant coaches Tommy Mylnikov and James Wilson.
The Aggies claimed their second national title in three seasons with a thrilling win over Auburn in late May. That followed A&M winning its fifth consecutive SEC regular-season championship.
