Volleyball Hosts Free Scrimmage Tonight

Interviews

Volleyball is back in Reed Arena this afternoon! The Aggies are slated to host a Maroon & White Scrimmage. Here's the details:

Time: 5:30 PM
Doors Open: 4:30 PM
(East and Main entries only)
Admission: Free

It's your only chance to catch the defending national champs in action at Reed before the home opener on Friday, August 28. A&M faces Baylor in Waco in another exhibition Sunday evening before heading to Milwaukee for the AVCA First Serve on August 21 and 23.

Several of the players met the media on Monday following practice--hear what they had to say below.

Kyndal Stowers (senior OH)

It's the game of volleyball. The ball doesn't change. The net doesn't change, the court doesn't change. It's still volleyball. So you just continue on with that. There's no ceiling in the game of volleyball...you can always get better.

Kaia Castle (Junior MB)

I think having a target on your back means you're doing the right thing, you know? But at the end of the day, we're a new team, new set of people. And I'm excited to go show everyone what we're all about.

Natalie Ring (5th Year OH)

I think there's been a lot of excitement. With such a new group and having the success that they had last season, finding ways to bring it together and tell our own story and figure out what that's going to look like for us, there's just been a lot of excitement to play and get together and see the way that we've improved every day in practice. 00;00;25;00 - 00;00;28;29 Speaker 2 So just finding that that joy and bringing that into the season for sure.
