SAN MARCOS – The Texas A&M soccer team concludes its season-opening, three-game trip through the Lone Star State when the Aggies travel to Bobcat Soccer Complex for Wednesday’s 7:30 contest against Texas State.

Admission is free for Texas State soccer contests. Fans may watch the broadcast live on the Pac-12 YouTube page.

The Aggies play their second road contest against a team that played in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. All told, the Maroon & White’s first three opponents posted a 34-13-17 mark (.679) last season.

Texas A&M looks to get back in the win column after Sunday’s 2-1 loss at Baylor. The Aggies opened the season with a 2-1 victory at Rice.

The new-look Aggies have had nine freshmen play in each of the first two matches. The 10 freshmen have totaled 892 of the 1980 minutes (.451) on the pitch. Goalkeeper Makenna August and defender Ava Sexton have played all 180 minutes.

Texas A&M owns a 4-0-1 edge in the all-time series, outscoring the Bobcats 22-3. This is the first time the teams face off in San Marcos. Last season the teams played to a 1-1 draw despite the Aggies outshooting Texas State 16-3. The Bobcats took a 1-0 lead on a free kick by Helen Alomenu in the 28th minute. Trinity Buchanan tied the match in the 81st minute with assists from Leah Diaz and Hattie Patterson. Texas A&M outshot Texas State, 12-0, in the second half, but Bobcat keeper Brooklyn Escobar made five saves to ward off defeat.

Texas State is 1-0-1 against an alphabet soup this season. The Bobcats played to a 2-2 draw at UTSA and earned a 4-1 home victory against UTRGV. Victoria Meza leads the team with two goals.
