Craver Named to Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watch List

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Texas A&M wide receiver Mario Craver has been named to the Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watch List, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced Wednesday. The award recognizes the college football season's outstanding FBS receiver annually

Craver was a 2025 Biletnikoff Award semifinalist, earning FWAA All-America Second Team and All-SEC Third Team honors as a junior. He posted three 100-yard receiving performances, including the program's first 200-yard receiving game in a road contest at Notre Dame. His 207 receiving yards and 86-yard touchdown reception against the Fighting Irish were FBS bests against an Associated Press Top 25 opponent in 2025. Craver ranked sixth in the SEC with 917 receiving yards on 59 receptions and four touchdowns. He also added 81 rushing yards on 11 carries and one touchdown.

Following SEC Media Days, Craver was named to the Media Preseason All-SEC First Team as an all-purpose player and earned second-team recognition as a wide receiver. He has also garnered preseason recognition on the Maxwell Award and Walter Camp Award watch lists.

In 21 career games, including 12 starts, Craver has totaled 76 receptions for 1,285 yards and seven touchdowns, while adding 88 rushing yards on 14 carries and one touchdown.

The Biletnikoff Award's semifinalists, three finalists and recipient are selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 625 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners and other former receivers. Foundation trustees do not vote and have never voted.

The award is named for Fred Biletnikoff, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and College Football Hall of Fame, who was a consensus first-team All-America receiver at Florida State University and an All-Pro receiver for the Oakland Raiders. He caught 589 passes for 8,974 yards and 76 touchdowns during his 14-year Raiders career from 1965-78. Biletnikoff was the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XI.

The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the college football season's outstanding FBS receiver. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back, and running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award. As such, the Biletnikoff Award recognizes college football's outstanding receiver, not merely college football's outstanding wide receiver.
