CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Texas A&M softball team returns to Florida for the fourth time in five seasons for the 2027 Clearwater Invitational, as ESPN Events announced the tournament field Thursday.
Joining the Aggies in the 11-team field are programs from six conferences (SEC, ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, American and Conference USA), including eight teams that advanced to the 2026 NCAA Tournament.

The Aggies' appearance in 2027 will mark their fourth trip to the ESPN Events-owned and operated softball invitational, which returns to the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater for its eighth year. The event is scheduled for Feb. 18-21, with Shriners Children's returning as title sponsor.
Texas A&M has won at least three games in each of its previous three Clearwater Invitational appearances and owns a 10-5 all-time record in the event. Last season, the Aggies dropped narrow decisions to No. 23 Oklahoma State and No. 19 Duke before reeling off three straight victories over NC State, James Madison and Northwestern.
The schedule for the 2027 Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational will be announced this fall, followed by the public on-sale date for tickets. For more information, visit the Clearwater Invitational website.
