NEW YORK – Four former Texas A&M tennis standouts are set to compete in the US Open spread across the men’s singles and doubles brackets at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament kicks off for the men Sunday and runs through Sept. 13.
The Aggies have four athletes qualified for the final grand slam of the year, marking a minimum of three individuals at all four majors for the Maroon & White in the 2026 season. Valentin Vacherot, Arthur Rinderknech were selected for the singles main draw, while Austin Krajicek and Jackson Withrow will compete with their pairs in doubles.
In singles, Vacherot enters the grand slam as the No. 22 seed and faces Aleksandar Kovacevic in the first round Monday, with first serve set for 10 a.m. Rinderknech is the No. 26 seed, taking on Sho Shimabukuro Sunday at 10 a.m.
The doubles main draw is still to be announced, but action begins Friday.
