- Texas A&M and Missouri State will meet for the first time in the two programs' histories. Texas A&M enters its 133rd season of football in 2026, while Missouri State enters its second season at the FBS level after making the jump from FCS to FBS ahead of the 2025 season.
- Senior QB Marcel Reed enters his second season as the full-time Texas A&M starter. As QB1 for the Aggies, Reed has amassed a record of 15-6 as a
starter. He has also started 18 straight games dating back to Nov. 2, 2024 at South Carolina. - Mario Craver had a breakout sophomore season in 2025, setting career marks with 59 receptions for 917 yards and four touchdowns.
