COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M football’s Mark Nabou Jr. has been named to the watch list for the 2026 Outland Trophy, the Football Writers Association of America announced on Tuesday. The Outland Trophy is presented annually to the best interior lineman in college football.
Nabou Jr., a graduate student from Lynnwood, Wash., is the Aggies’ lone returning starter along the offensive line from a season ago. He played in all 13 games while making 12 starts. Anchoring the offensive line, Nabou Jr. helped the offense accumulate 2,401 rushing and 3,378 passing yards as well as 28 rushing touchdowns. He was part of an offensive line that ranked third nationally in tackles for loss allowed (3.31), ninth in fourth-down conversion percentage (.706), 19th in scoring offense (33.8) and 23rd in total offense (444.5).
The semifinalists for the Outland Trophy will be announced on Nov. 18, followed by a joint announcement with ESPN of the three finalists on Nov. 24. The 81st recipient of the Outland Trophy will be announced on The Home Depot College Football Awards, live on ESPN in December. The official presentation to the winner will be made at the Outland Trophy Awards Dinner sponsored by Werner Enterprises and produced by the Greater Omaha Sports Committee in Omaha, Neb., on Jan. 27, 2027.
The Outland Trophy, celebrating its 81st year since its founding, is the third-oldest major college football award.
