NEW YORK – Texas A&M football’s Mark Nabou Jr. has been named to the preseason watch list for the 2026 Rimington Trophy, the Boomer Esiason Foundation announced Thursday. The trophy is presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I College Football.
Nabou Jr., a graduate student from Lynnwood, Washington, is Texas A&M's lone returning starter along the offensive line from last season. He appeared in all 13 games and made 12 starts, helping anchor an offense that totaled 2,401 rushing yards, 3,378 passing yards and 28 rushing touchdowns. The Aggies also ranked third nationally in tackles for loss allowed (3.31), ninth in fourth-down conversion percentage (.706), 19th in scoring offense (33.8) and 23rd in total offense (444.5).
This is the second preseason watch list honor for Nabou Jr. after being named to the Outland Trophy Watch List on August 4.

The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I College Football. Since its inception, the award has raised over $5 million for the Boomer Esiason Foundation.
Dave Rimington, the award's namesake, was a consensus first-team All-America center at Nebraska in 1981 and 1982, during which time he became the John Outland Trophy's only two-time winner as the nation's finest college interior lineman.
