WOLCOTT, Colo. – The No. 4 Texas A&M women’s golf team returns to action at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic Sept. 21-23 at the Red Sky Golf Club.
The Fazio Course at Red Sky Golf Club serves as the host of the tournament, with the 54-hole tournament beginning Monday at 10 a.m. with the first 18. Live stats for the event can be found at Golfstat.com.
The Aggies are coming off a runner-up finish in the fall opener at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, where they finished 2-under 862 as a group. Freshman Emerie Schartz led the Aggies in her collegiate debut, shooting a 2-under 214 and tying for sixth individually. All five Aggies finished in the top 20.
The Lineup
Head Coach Gerrod Chadwell will be bringing a lineup that is led by Vanessa Borovilos and Cayetana Fernández García-Poggio. The 18th and 31st ranked individuals on the World Amateur Golf Ranking, respectively.
Also making the trip to Colorado will be freshman Schartz, who led the Aggies to a second-place finish at the Folds of Honor Collegiate. Louise Reau, who shot an even-par 216 and tied for 12th in her last outing, will be making her second start of the season.
Rounding out the lineup for the Aggies will be Sky Sudberry, who recorded three top-10 finishes last season.
