WOLCOTT, Colo. – The No. 4 Texas A&M women’s golf team posted the third lowest round in program history Wednesday after firing a 15-under 273 which secured it a share of third at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic.
The Aggies turned in the second lowest 54-hole score in school history as well, carding a 32-under 832 for the week. The Maroon & White shared third with Pepperdine and fell to Miami (-33) and USC (-47).
Louise Reau went 6-under 66 in the final round and etched her name in the Texas A&M record book, with a 54-hole score of 11-under 205 which was tied for the fifth best ever. Reau tied for fifth on the individual leaderboard to lead the team.
Vanessa Borovilos, Cayetana Fernández García-Poggio and Emerie Schartz all shot 3-under 69 on the last day, helping them secure solo 14th, a piece of 15th and a share of 40th, respectively. Sky Sudberry rounded out the lineup also with a tied for 40th.
The Aggies return for more fall golf Oct. 19-21 at The Fin in Fairfield, Texas, at the Freestone Lake & Golf Club. Live stats for The Fin can be found at scoreboard.clippd.com.
