AUGUSTA, Ga. – Texas A&M punter Tyler White was named the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week for week four, as announced by the Augusta Sports Council and the Ray Guy Award on Tuesday.
White, who was just named to the ‘Ray’s 8’ list for the second time this season on Monday, earned his second career punter of the week honor and first since 2024. He earned the week four honor after punting seven times for 363 yards, averaging 51.9 yards per punt. He placed three punts inside the 20 and forced two fair catches. White had just one punt returned that went for negative yardage. He had a career-high six punts of over 50 yards, with his longest punt going for 58 yards.
White, a senior from Southlake, Texas, is having a career season in 2026. Through four games, he has punted 15 times for 750 yards with a long punt of 58 yards. Of his 15 punts, only six have been returned for a total of negative 2 yards.
He is averaging 50.0 yards per punt, the best mark among all qualified punters this season and nearly five yards better than his career average. White has placed seven punts inside the 20-yard line and has 10 punts that have traveled at least 50 yards. He is just four 50-yard punts shy of matching the career mark he set in 2025.
White and the Aggies will be back inside Kyle Field on Saturday at 6 p.m. when they host Arkansas.
