ATHENS – The Texas A&M soccer team returns to the road for Friday’s 5:30 p.m. contest against the Georgia Bulldogs at Turner Soccer Complex.
The match airs on SEC Network+ with Madison Crews handling play-by-play duties and Mollie Belisle providing the color.
Through four SEC matches, Texas A&M has already matched its conference goal total from all last season. The early offensive production marks a step forward for the Aggies in league play.
Trinity Buchanan leads the team with 17 points on seven goals and three assists. Ireland Churchill has 16 points with seven goals and two assists. The tandem is tied for fifth in the SEC for goals scored. Buchanan also ranks fifth in points per game with 1.55.
Last time out, the Maroon & White dropped a 5-2 decision to Florida after the Gators built a 4-0 halftime advantage with three of those goals coming after the 22nd minute. Texas A&M responded with two goals in the second half, courtesy of a Buchanan penalty and individual quality from Norah Bell and Morgan Landry.

The Bulldogs have won the last four meetings with the last two coming in SEC Tournament play. The teams have met three times in the conference tournament highlighted by 2014. Bianca Brinson, Annie Kunz and Meghan Streight scored for Texas A&M in a 3-0 quarterfinal victory on the Aggies’ way to the SEC crown.
Georgia enters the matchup with a 3-3-5 overall record and a 0-1-3 mark in SEC play. The Bulldogs have collected three points through four conference matchdays, earning draws at Arkansas and at LSU and home against No. 2 Vanderbilt. Georgia’s lone conference loss came in a 3-1 decision against Oklahoma.
Emma Peterson leads the Georgia attack with nine points on three goals and three assists. Honoka Hamano boasts a team-high four goals. Georgia has yet to record a clean sheet in conference play, making its defensive performance a key factor as the Bulldogs search for their first SEC victory.
