Perez returns after a breakthrough sophomore season in which she garnered Second Team All-America honors, NFCA All-Region Second Team recognition and All-SEC First Team accolades. The junior infielder led the Aggies to the first No. 1 national ranking in program history while breaking a 43-year-old school single-season RBI record with 73. She posted a .424 batting average and a .804 slugging percentage, the sixth-best mark in program history.
The Corona, California, native started all 59 games in 2025 and was the only Aggie to earn multiple SEC weekly honors. She also excelled against ranked opponents, batting .400 with seven home runs, six doubles and 28 RBI. Off the field, she earned Academic All-America honors, becoming the fourth Aggie in program history and the first since 2008.
Dement made an immediate impact in her freshman campaign, earning D1 Softball All-America Freshman First Team honors, NFCA All-Region First Team recognition and SEC All-Tournament Team accolades. The Selma, California, product started 58 games and set program freshman records with 18 doubles and 64 RBI, which ranked fourth-most in single-season history at Texas A&M.
Dement led the Aggies in doubles and tied Perez for a team-high 16 home runs while ranking second on the team in slugging percentage (.743) and third in total bases (124). She delivered a dominant postseason performance, slashing .500/.577/1.365 across seven games and leading A&M with five home runs, four doubles and a 1.941 OPS.
Her postseason highlight came in the SEC Tournament semifinals, where Dement blasted a two-run home run and a three-run homer against Texas to propel the Aggies to the program's first SEC Tournament championship game.
