No. 2 Equestrian Falls at No. 4 Georgia

BISHOP, GA. – The No. 2 Texas A&M equestrian team fell against No. 4 Georgia, 12-8, Saturday at the UGA Equestrian Complex.

Texas A&M (2-1, 0-1) opened the meet in Fences with Logan Thomas earning MOP honors for her ride of 87.5 on Love. Grace DeFoe contributed a score 85.25 on Perry to secure a second point for the Maroon & White. Georgia claimed the remaining three points to take an early 3-2 advantage.  

The Aggies added a pair of point-scoring rides in Horsemanship as Ady Kallay was selected as the MOP, recording a score of 75.25 on Teddy. Kaylynn Heitman tacked on the second point for the Maroon & White, scoring a 73.25 on Bandido as the Aggies faced a 6-4 deficit at the break.

Kate Egan (78.5) and Grace Shipman (80) each secured a point for the Aggies in Flat. However, Georgia extended its advantage to take a 9-6 edge. Dylanne Rodriguez earned MOP honors in Reining for her score of 72.25 on Royce, while Isabelle Gonzalez (72.75) added another point for the Maroon & White. Despite their efforts, The Aggies were unable to overcome the deficit, falling to the Bulldogs, 12-8.

UP NEXT
Texas A&M heads to Auburn Friday, Oct. 23, for a conference matchup with the Tigers. The meet is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. from the Auburn University Equestrian Center.
