COLLEGE STATION – The No. 19 Texas A&M volleyball team returns home for a top 20 ranked matchup, as it welcomes No. 7 Florida to Reed Arena Friday evening with first serve set for 6 p.m.

The Aggies gear up for their eighth ranked contest of the season, looking to get back in the win column following a two-game slide last week. Friday’s matchup will be played in front of the 12th Man who have made Reed Arena a force this season, as the Maroon & White boast an 8-1 on their home court.

Kyndal Stowers continued to pace A&M offensively, as the senior finished Sunday’s contest with 20 kills hitting at .351 percent while adding 12 digs for her fifth double-double of the season. The outside hitters 20 kills marked her third-straight game over 20 and fifth total this season.

On the defensive side, Gabi Rodriguez continued to add to her standout freshman campaign as she logged a career-high 21 digs. The McKinney, Texas, native has now eclipsed 20 digs twice this season and has reached double digits in 15 of the 17 fixtures.

The Maroon & White’s pressure from the service line has been rewarded since the start of conference play, as they’ve averaged 1.67 aces per set in the five games which ranks second in the SEC.

The Aggies and Gators have faced off 25 times in their history, with Florida holding a 22-3 advantage in the all-time series. The programs are 2-2 Since the arrival of Head Coach Jamie Morrison and A&M won the most recent fixture last season with a decisive 3-0 sweep. In the last four meetings the teams have won both of their games away from home.

Weekly Press Conference: Jamie Morrison

Ryan (Theis) has done a really good job with that group. I think it's a different Florida team than last year. They had some people transfer out and some people transfer in, but they're mixing up kind of where pins are on the floor by some different rotations...I think just all around a really good volleyball team. They're athletic, they've got athletes in all positions and they'll be a handful.
