Olano and White Named AP Midseason All-Americans

COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M football’s David Olano and Tyler White have been named to the Associated Press midseason All-America team, the organization announced Thursday.

The AP midseason All-America team is made up of two offensive and two defensive teams. White, a senior punter, was named to the first team, while Olano, a fifth-year kicker, earned second team honors.

White has been one of the nation’s best punters in 2026. Through six games, he leads the nation in punting average at 50.4 yards per punt. He booted a career-best 72-yarder at Missouri and has 14 punts of at least 50 yards this season. He is just two 50-yarders shy of tying his career-best mark set in 2025. In 24 punts for White this season, only nine have been returned, with teams averaging just 1.8 yards per return. He was named the Ray Guy Punter of the Week on Sept. 28, and he has twice been named to the Ray Guy Award ‘Ray’s 8’ list this season.

Olano has been one of the top place kickers in the country this season. He enters the midway point of the campaign having gone 9-for-9 in field goals and 19-for-19 in PATs. He is the first Aggie kicker to start a season making their first nine kicks since Todd Pegram made his first 12 kicks in 2004. He is currently tied for the most 50+ yard field goals made this season with four, and is the only kicker to have made all four of his kicks from that distance. Against Arkansas, he set a new career-long field goal of 57 yards, breaking his previous long of 53 yards that he set the week prior at LSU. In his last three games, he has kicked all four of his 50-yard field goals. Following the Aggies' win over the Razorbacks, Olano was named the SEC Special Team Player of the Week.

The Aggies will be back in action on Saturday, October 17 when they host The Citadel. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
