12thMan.com chatted with Olivia Lincer. The senior joined the Aggies this fall after her experience playing with UCF and Oklahoma State.

Why did you decide to come to Texas A&M?

After talking to the coaches and having a lot of friends who have gone here, I knew that it would be a really good place to develop my tennis game and be on a national championship winning team.

What is your favorite Aggie tradition?

The Aggie Ring.

What is your favorite part about Aggieland?

I love how everyone here is friendly and I think that everywhere you go, the vibes are really high. Even if something is not technically fun like compliance meetings or that stuff, everyone makes it fun.

Favorite restaurant in College Station?

Juanita's.

How has it been fitting in with the team so far and getting to know everyone?

I think all of my teammates are absolutely amazing and I think we're going to be able to learn a lot frokm each other and be better people after this year.

After a long day of playing tennis, what is your favorite thing to do?

Relax in my room while calling my parents or my boyfriend or my friend and just talking over the phone, talking about our days.

When did you realize that you belonged at Texas A&M?

After getting to know the coaches and the girls, I think I already feel a sense of belonging here after just a short time.

How did you get into tennis and when did you start playing?

I've played for as long as I can remember and I got into it because my dad grew up with tennis and he was always my coach.

When did you realize that you could take your tennis game to the college level?

Growing up I always have strived to play professional tennis and I think college is a really good stepping stone for me to get there.

Who's a player that you've looked up to during your career?

I've always loved Rafeal Nadal for his fighting spirit.
