COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M mourns the loss of former head football coach Dennis Franchione, who passed away. He was 75 years old.
Franchione, a native of Girard, Kan., served as Texas A&M’s head football coach for five seasons from 2003-07. He compiled a 32-28 record during his time in College Station. He guided the Aggies to three bowl games, highlighted by the 2004 Cotton Bowl.
In his 27 years as a head coach, Franchione earned 213 victories and was inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame in 2017.
