Safety Tawfiq Byard and offensive lineman Lamont Rogers met the media Tuesday as the Aggies held their weekly player availability inside the Coolidge Football Performance Center.
Yeah. Just playing together, gelling. The first couple of weeks you saw a little bit of us playing together. But last week kind of brought it all together...When we caught the interception, it was over after that. It was kind of like all the work that we put in throughout the week bought in and it worked. So after that we just cut it loose.
-- Tawfiq Byard on the defense's takeaway from Arkansas winI've seen a lot of growth. I feel like the games I've started, the football just became so much simpler. Things are not as fast. Everything is just my pace.
-- Lamont Rogers on starting the last few gamesI think they are playing really good football. They're 12th in the country (run defense), only giving up 2.6 yards a carry. So they have been really effective stopping the run and did a really great job against an elite tailback last week which nobody has been able to do so far. Offensively I think it starts with the quarterback. He’s playing elite football and really running the offense at a high level. Because of that you have skill kids on the outside that can create separation and get open and they have a really talented running back.
