Get to know one of the newest Aggies below…

What made you commit to Texas A&M?

“The resources drew me in. Seeing data being taken when I pitch, how everything’s moving and any adjustments is something I haven’t been able to experience. Being able to see my progress day-to-day and the relationship I had with coach Ford were really exciting.”

How have you adjusted to Aggieland?

“The first two weeks I was terrified I wasn’t going to find my people here. I would go back to San Marcos to hang out with my friends but a lot has changed over those weeks. I found people I enjoy hanging out with, and they’re starting to become my best friends.”

How has it been working with Coach Ford and this pitching staff?

“It’s been awesome, they’re already making adjustments of me and my pitching. I’ve had a lot of back issues pitching and we’re trying to help my back and not overcompensate for what I am doing wrong.”

What have you heard about the 12th Man and what are your expectations?

“When I played here, it was crazy to see how loud the fans got and the emotion they have towards the game. The bubbles are cool and having the 12th Man is going to help a lot.”

What's one part of your game that you've worked especially hard to improve?

“My mental side of the game. I talked to a sport psychologist at my previous school for the first time and it changed my life. It helped my confidence and changed me as a pitcher, helping me realize talking to somebody who actually knows what they’re doing can help me more than I can help myself.”

What are your individual and team goals for this season?

“To do a whole lot of winning. Winning the SEC Championship, going to the world series and doing every little thing we can to be the best of the best.”

What's a song that will instantly get you hyped before a game?

“Big Poppa” by The Notorious B.I.G.”

Do you have any softball superstitions?

“Never step on the chalk.”

If you could design a game uniform what would it look like?

“It would be pink. My favorite color is pink, so a light pink top and bottom with white accents.”
