WACO – Three members of the Texas A&M equestrian program were named Riders of the Month by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association, as announced by the organization Wednesday.

Grace DeFoe (fences), Isabelle Gonzalez (reining) and Ady Kallay (horsemanship) were each selected as Riders of the Month for their respective events.

A native of Perrysburg, Ohio, DeFoe earned the first two MOP honors of her career in the doubleheader meet on Sept. 24. She topped her career-high score in both rides, posting an 86 on CiCi against Minnesota Crookston and an 87 on Gino against Delaware State for an average win margin of 16.5.

Gonzalez registered a 2-0 record following the doubleheader meet, scoring a 67 on Delta against Minnesota Crookston and a 70 on Xena against Delaware State. The Lafayette, Louisiana, native registered an average win margin of 4.25 in her two rides.

Kallay won both of her rides in the month of September, including her first career MOP selection for her ride of 72.5 on Finn against Minnesota Crookston. In the Delaware State meet, she scored a 69.5 on Jake to contribute another point for the Maroon & White.

The No. 2 Aggies are back in action Saturday, Oct. 10, for a meet on the road against No. 4 Georgia. The meet is slated for a 10 a.m. start from the UGA Equestrian Complex in Bishop, Georgia.
