What attracted you to Texas A&M?
Texas A&M has always been my dream school and being close to home made it even better. When I came on my visit, I was impressed by the top-notch facilities and how well the staff takes care of the players.
How has the transition from high school to college softball been so far?
The biggest adjustment has definitely been the faster pace of practices and how hard the coaches push us every day.
What are you looking forward to the most about playing in front of the 12th Man?
I'm looking forward to the incredible support the 12th Man brings to our team. No matter where we play, they're always there cheering us on. Knowing they always have our backs means a lot.
Who has had the biggest influence on you as a softball player, and what have they taught you?
My dad, for sure. He's taught me to work hard, stay humble and never give up. He's also taught me that bad days are going to happen, but what matters is picking yourself back up and coming back better the next day.
What has the transition from Texas City to College Station been like?
It's been a good transition because I've always been pretty independent. The biggest challenge has probably been time management, but I'm starting to get the hang of it.
What's one part of your game that you've worked especially hard to improve?
My mental toughness. Softball is more than just the physical side of the game, and having a strong mindset plays a huge role in being successful. If you're not mentally prepared, it's hard to perform at your best.
What is one goal you've set for yourself during your freshman year?
My goal is to work as hard as I can, compete every day and earn my spot on the field.
What is your major, and what do you plan on doing with it?
I'm currently majoring in Sport Management, but I plan to pursue a career in real estate after graduation.
Which Aggie tradition is your favorite?
Definitely the yells at football games. My favorite is "Beat the Hell Outta" whoever we're playing.
What's a song that will instantly get you hyped before a game?
"Insecurities" by Lil Baby.
What has it been like playing in the infield alongside experienced teammates?
It's been really helpful having experienced players like KK Dement in the infield. Whenever I'm unsure about something, I know I can go to her for help. Whether it's turning double plays or knowing where to position myself for certain batters, she's always willing to help me out.
