No. 22 Baseball Downs SFA, 14-1, in Midweek Action

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – No. 22 Texas A&M completed a perfect five-game homestand with a 14-1 victory over SFA in seven innings Tuesday night from Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
The Aggies (15-1) totaled 12 hits and seven walks in the win. Blake Binderup headed the offensive attack with two home runs. The first was a solo shot to lead off the bottom of the fourth, and his second was a three-run blast in the sixth inning that traveled 454 feet over the wall in left-center field. Bear Harrison followed Binderup's three-run shot with a 459-foot solo homer, ending the contest 2-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI.
Jake Duer and Nico Partida each logged their team-best eighth multi-hit performance. The duo combined to score four runs and drive in five RBI.
Gavin Lyons worked 4.2 innings as the starter, allowing one earned run on three hits. The sophomore issued just one walk and struck out a pair. Ethan Darden (2-0) earned the win after tossing 1.1 hitless innings of relief. Juan Vargas and Clayton Freshcorn combined to finish the seventh inning and seal the run-rule victory.
