Filzen Earns All-America Honors at the NCAA Championships

ATLANTA – Texas A&M's Gabby Filzen earned All-America honors in the platform dive to highlight the Aggies' fourth and final day at the NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday at Georgia Tech's McAuley Aquatic Center.
Filzen, a sophomore from Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, placed 14th with a score of 265.50 to earn honorable mention All-America honors in her first trip to the national meet. After opening with 38.40, Filzen finished with four straight 50-point scores, including a 60.80 total on her final dive.
Filzen's All-America citation brought the Aggies' total to four for the 2026 NCAA Championships. Also earning All-America honors were senior Joslyn Oakley in the 1m dive, fifth-year senior Kaitlyn Owens in the 100 backstroke and the 200 freestyle relay of Owens, sophomore Ella McQuinn and freshmen Reagan Sherrard and Eloise Williamson.
In other action on Saturday, the Aggies' 400 free relay of McQuinn, Owens, Williamson and Sherrard placed 20th in 3:15.33; McQuinn placed 40th in the 100 free in 48.55; and junior Ava Whitaker placed 18th in the 200 butterfly in 1:55.33.
The Aggies finished in 30th place in the team standing with 19.5 points. Virginia won the team crown with 589 points, followed by Stanford (380.5), Texas (376.5), California (303) and Tennessee (301.5) to round out the top five.
