WACO – The Texas A&M equestrian team has been selected as the No. 2 seed for the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) National Championship, as announced by the organization Tuesday evening.
The nation's top eight teams will compete for the NCEA National Championship, April 16-18, at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida.
The Aggies (7-5), who are coming off their first SEC Championship and are in the hunt for their 13th national title, will face No. 7 seed TCU (8-6) in the quarterfinal round on Thursday, April 16. The meeting is the first between the two teams this season after each of the home teams came out victorious through the pair of meets last season.
A win would send the Maroon & White to the semifinals for the third straight year and set up a matchup with the winner of Georgia and Oklahoma State on Friday, April 17.
