
Gustin Named SEC Rider of the Month in Reining

BIRMINGHAM – Mattie Gustin of the Texas A&M equestrian team has been named SEC Reining Rider of the Month for February, as announced by the league office Thursday.
In the Aggies' two contests this month, Gustin claimed MOP honors against then-No. 2 Georgia with a score of 71.75 on JJ. The MOP award was the fifth years second of the season and seventh of her career. Gustin secured the meet winning point in Reining against then-No. 3 SMU from a ride of 71.75 on Tank in her final ride at the Hildebrand Equine Complex. The Aledo, Texas, native defeated her opponent by 0.75 points with no penalties.
The Maroon & White return to action Saturday, March 7, as they face No. 1 Auburn at 11 a.m. from the Auburn University Equestrian Center.
