Six Aggies Named to NCEA All-Championship Team

OCALA, Fla. – Six members of the Texas A&M equestrian team were named to the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) All-Championship Team, the organization announced Wednesday.
In Fences, the Aggies were represented by two riders in junior Kate Egan and sophomore Grace Shipman. Egan earned Tournament MOP honors in the event and posted scoring rides in all three matchups, recording an 81.3 on Tito against TCU, an 83.7 on Bentley versus Georgia and a 90.3 on Presley against South Carolina. Shipman also delivered three scoring rides, posting an 87.3 on Schnitzel, a 65.3 on Bonbon and an 86.7 on Nicky.
On the Western side, senior Meagan Braun, and junior Kendall Dirksen were named to the Horsemanship All-Championship Team after delivering scoring rides in all three matchups. Braun scored a 75.8 on Money, a 76 on Brad and a 77.2 on Austin. Dirksen added scores of 76.6 on Teddy, 76 on Dually and 75.5 on Shrek.
In Reining, fifth-year Mattie Gustin and junior Isabelle Gonzalez earned All-Championship Team honors. Gustin's winning rides of a 72.3 on Shine against TCU and a 72.8 on Tuni versus Georgia and Gonzalez's rides of 73 on Giallo, 72.8 on Bruno secured their spots on the team.
