Borovilos Named to ANNIKA Award Postseason Watch List

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Texas A&M's Vanessa Borovilos was named to the ANNIKA Award Postseason Watch List, the organization announced Wednesday.
Borovilos was one of 15 golfers named to the list which featured five from the SEC. The Canadian has finished in the top 10 in eight tournaments this season, including three runner-up outings and a victory at the Moon Golf Invitational.
Borovilos is ranked No. 22 on the World Amateur Golf Ranking and No. 11 on the Scoreboard Individual Ranking. The sophomore is leading the Aggies with a 71.10 stroke average and is 4-0 in her career in match play. At the SEC Championship, Borovilos finished tied for second and won both of her matches in match play where her opponents failed to see the 15th tee box.
The Aggie competed at the prestigious 2026 Augusta National Women's Amateur and took home a share of 11th. Borovilos also holds the record for the lowest single round in U.S. Women's Amateur history when she shot a 9-under 63 in the second round of the 125th U.S. Women's Amateur.
The Texas A&M women's golf team is ranked No. 4 in the nation and learns its regional assignment for NCAAs today (April 29) at 3 p.m. on the Golf Channel. The Aggies are holding a Selection Show Watch Party from 2-4 p.m. at Holleman Tavern (3164 Holleman Dr S, College Station, TX 77845). Tickets for the event are $100 per person or couple and includes free food, drinks and the opportunity to spend time with the team and coaching staff. Tickets can be purchased here.

Created in 2014, the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel is annually given to the top female DI collegiate golfer; the winner voted on by players, coaches and members of the college golf media. Named for Annika Sorenstam, the award was created in partnership with the Haskins Foundation to acknowledge the top female golfer and to match the Haskins Award presented by Stifel, which acknowledges the top male DI collegiate golfer.
