Track & Field Concludes Regular Season with Alumni Muster

COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M track & field team returns home to close out its regular-season slate as it hosts the Alumni Muster, May 1-2, at E.B. Cushing Stadium with events starting at 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.
The Maroon & White gear up to host the sixth annual Alumni Muster, wrapping up an impressive regular season campaign. Texas A&M's performances continued to stand out nationally, as the Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association ranks the men fourth and has the women standing at seventh.
Last Time Out
The Aggies had a successful weekend in Philadelphia at the Penn Relays, as the group broke one school record, collected three Penn Relay wheels, won two individual events, while having two alterations and one addition to the A&M record book.
The women highlighted the weekend as they swept all their respective relay events which included the 4x100m (43.88), 4x200m (1:31.25) and 4x400m (3:32.31). Adding to the wins was Jaiya Covington in the women's 100m hurdles, as she crossed the line with a time of 13.09. On the first day of the Penn relays, Megan Roberts climbed the all-time list to No. 2 in the 5,000m with a mark of 15:50.29.
On the men's side, the 4x800m relay team clocked in a time of 7:11.64 to down the school record previously set at the 2024 Penn Relays. Ja'Qualon Scott captured the 110m hurdles title with a mark of 13.87 to ensure back-to-back wins and become one of only four men to claim two-straight titles in the event.
In Waco at the Michael Johnson Invitational, Aleksandr Solovev made his outdoor debut securing the men's pole vault title with a clearance of 5.51m/18-1. Flipping to the women's side, Ella Vajdos entered the all-time list at No. 12 with a personal-best mark of 4.03m/13-2.5.
Top-Ranked Aggies
The Aggie men hold eight top ten marks led by Scott in the 400m hurdles (48.22) and Zaza Nnamdi (84.68m/277-10) in the javelin as they each rank first in the nation. The men's 4x400m relay groups hold the third (3:01.56), fourth (3:01.62) and ninth (3:03.10) spots in the event. Peter Narumbe sits at No. 4 in the 800m (1:45.05), Scott lands at No. 5 in the 110m hurdles (13.36), while Lawson Jacobs in the 400m (45.12) ranks eighth and Etoro Bassey in the high jump (2.19m/7-2.25) holds ninth.
The Aggie women hold seven top ten marks in the nation as Jaiya Covington in the 100m hurdles (12.79) ranks third. Camryn Dickson lands at No. 5 in the 100m (11.02) and No. 6 in the 200m (22.51), while Abigail Martin in the discus (58.88m/193-2) and Katelyn Fairchild in the javelin (56.59m/185-8) rank seventh. Rounding out the rankings are the women's 4x100m relay team (43.03) at No. 9 and Anya Jackson in the 200m (22.56) at No. 10.
The Field
Texas A&M welcomes 14 teams to E.B. Cushing including Baylor, Blinn, HCU, Iowa State, Lamar, Louisiana, Northwestern State, Penn State, Rice, Sam Houston, Stephen F. Austin, Texas Southern, Tulane and UTSA.

- Friday, 5/1 – Fans attending the Alumni Muster meet should plan to incur a $5 charge or present their valid Texas A&M parking permit in Lots 100d & e. ADA parking will be available in Lot 100m north.
- Saturday, 5/2 – Fans attending the Alumni Muster meet should plan to arrive prior to 3pm and incur a $5 charge or present their valid Texas A&M parking permit in Lots 100 d & e by showing their Saturday, 5/2 Alumni Muster ticket upon entry to the lot. ADA parking will be available in Lot 100m north. Prices will increase on west campus post-3pm due to the Savannah Bananas event at Kyle Field.
