Partida Tabbed Freshman All-American by NCBWA

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Texas A&M third baseman Nico Partida was named to the Freshman All-America First Team, as announced by the National College Baseball Writers Association Monday afternoon.
The Manvel, Texas, native is the seventh Aggie to receive Freshman All-America honors from the publication and joins Michael Wacha (2010) and Braden Shewmake (2017) as the only players in program history to be selected to the First Team.
Partida made 48 starts for the Maroon & White at third base during the 2026 campaign, slashing .306/.408/.550 with 43 RBI and 45 runs scored. The freshman belted 12 home runs and eight doubles while walking 29 times and stealing four bases.
In his rookie campaign, Partida logged 17 multi-hit and 12 multi-RBI performances.
The Freshman All-American team is voted upon by members of the NCBWA. The 2026 NCBWA National Freshman Player of the Year and National Freshman Pitcher of the Year will be announced on Tuesday, June 9.
