2015 – SENIOR
The two-year returning starter and co-captain had played in seven matches, starting five, and was leading the team with 3.22 kills per set before suffering a probable season-ending knee injury (dislocated patella) in the opening set at Florida State on Sept. 18…Had opened the season with a team-leading 13 kills while hitting .375 in a three-set loss at No. 2 Stanford…In the ensuing match, tallied six kills in the first set against eventual Final-Four bound Minnesota and was hitting .417 against the Gophers before suffering an ankle injury in the second set, causing her to miss the next three matches…Returned to the court against Iowa State on Sept. 11 and posted 11 kills…Regained her starting position later that day in a four-set win against Milwaukee and went on to extend her double-figure kills streak to four matches, including a double-double with a season-high 16 kills along with 14 digs in a five-set victory against No. 15 Colorado State…Made her fifth and what would be her last start of the season at No. 18 Florida State before injuring her knee in the opening set…Throughout the remainder of the season, adhered to a rigorous rehabilitation routine and continued to be an integral influence and motivator from the bench, serving as a student coach for the team as well as a mentor to sophomore replacement Kiara McGee…Eventually returned to practice near the end of the regular season and made a brief court appearance in the NCAA Championship first-round match against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi…Posted two kills in four attempts against the Islanders in her final appearance in the maroon and white…Finished the season having played in eight matches and 25 sets overall…Hit. 291 with 3.04 kills, 1.44 digs and 3.28 points per set…At the annual team banquet, the three-time member of the SEC Community Service Team and four-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll was presented with the team’s Most Inspirational Player Award, as voted by the players...Also for the second consecutive year, was recognized for her selfless service and leadership, as well as her dedication to athletics and academics with the team’s Texas A&M Aggie Excellence Award, sharing the honor with Katelyn Labhart…The dynamic and powerful attacker finished her four year career hitting a combined .214 with 2.56 kills, 1.44 digs and 2.86 points per set in 270 sets in 88 matches overall.

Drew her first career start in the season opener against South Dakota State…Started 24 matches overall and appeared in all 31 matches and in 104 of 111 sets… Led the team and ranked 15th in the SEC with 3.01 kills per set for the full season…Tied for or took team-high honors in kills in a team-leading 11 matches…Led or tied for team-high honors in points in nine matches, second highest on the team…Recorded the first double-double of her career with 11 kills and 13 digs against No. 15 Iowa State (Aug. 31) and also had a double-double against No. 7 Michigan (12 kills, 14 digs) on Sept. 13…Reached double figures in kills in 16 matches, tying for the team lead…Twice posted 20-plus kills, with her career-high 23 kills in a crucial 3-2 victory at Georgia (Nov. 24) ranking as the most kills in a match by an A&M player in the 2013 season…Her 23.0 points at Georgia also were the most points scored by an A&M player in a single match in 2013…Her 17 kills against Mississippi State was the most by an A&M player in a 3-set match in 2013.

Made a smooth transition to the collegiate game and showed tremendous potential following a high level of training and competition experience which she gained through her years of involvement with Austin Juniors and USA Volleyball…Appeared in 19 matches and 30 sets…Made her Aggie debut in the season-opening sweep against Texas State and posted three kills while hitting .500 in one set…Had two solo blocks at Alabama, the most by an A&M player in a three-set match in 2012…Also posted career highs with 8.5 points and six kills while hitting .267 in three sets in the 3-0 victory against the Crimson Tide…Averaged 1.10 kills and 1.3 points per set for the full season…Named to the 2012-13 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.

Angela Marie Lowak is the daughter of Larry Lowak and Deborah Grote…Is the youngest of five children, with two brothers and two sisters…Her sister, Laura Lowak, also attended Texas A&M, as did her grandmother, two aunts and an uncle…Began playing volleyball when she was 8 years old...Only official visit was to Texas A&M, but did make unofficial visits to Oklahoma, Tennessee, Colorado and Northwestern…Chose to sign with the Aggies because of the facilities, the fan base, everyone’s hospitality, and because of the Aggie network…Most memorable moments of A&M athletic career are defeating Kentucky for the first time in SEC history at Reed Arena and also when she was running down a ball and ran into the cameraman and broke his camera…Hobbies include traveling, spending time with The Lord, climbing trees, exploring, playing with kids, hiking, camping, working out, playing sand volleyball, swimming and going to concerts and festivals…Is the volleyball team representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and serves as the public relations chair…Is a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and serves as the philanthropy chair…Spent 17 days in Vietnam in the summer of 2015, volunteering and gaining experience in the hospital while also growing an appreciation and awareness of Vietnamese culture…Is active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Global Enterprise Experience, an international business competition that develops skills in managing across cultures, time zones, world views and levels and has served on the marketing committee for the Entrepreneurship Society…A two-time member of the SEC Community Service Team, volunteers at numerous community events, including meeting with local citizens at the Barbara Bush Parent Center and helping them be more proficient in English, participating in physical education activities at a local elementary school, assisting new and returning Aggies on Residence Hall Move-In Assistance Day, and coaching in a dodge ball tournament to help raise money for First Book, a nonprofit organization that provides books to schools and programs serving children in need…Also has assisted at the local food bank and volunteered as a camp coach for Weekend of Champions through FCA, teaching middle school students how to incorporate Christ into sport…Majoring in business honors and also is taking pre-med prerequisites…Receive her Aggie Ring on September 25, 2015, and is slated to graduate in May 2017…Career ambition is anything that allows her to help people, possibly missionary medicine or working for a nonprofit organization overseas…Born January 2, 1994, and was the first baby born in New Braunfels, Texas, that year.
