2012 (FRESHMAN)
Made her A&M career debut in the Aggies’ 3-0 win against American on Sept. 1 at the Yale Classic...Also played in a set in A&M’s sweep against Stony Brook on Sept. 1, posting a total of six digs on the day for a 2.0 average...Missed the remainder of the season with an injury.
Previous Athletic Experience
A decorated four-year starter as a setter and outside hitter for coach Sandy Faussett-Stoops at Waxahachie High School...Was a two-time member of the Texas Girls Coaches Association all-state team and also received academic all-state honors as a senior...Led the Indians to three consecutive appearances in the regional finals in the state tournament before falling to J.J Pearce High School and future Texas A&M teammate Shelby Sullivan each time...Closed out her career by earning district MVP honors for the third consecutive year...Averaged 4.1 kills per set as a senior, hitting .365...Holds school records for aces in a match and a season and digs in a match...Was named the District 16-4A Newcomer of the Year as a freshman...Played three years of club for Ellis County Juniors and played the last three years for Skyline Juniors...Named to the 2009 USAV Girls Junior National Championship all-tournament team in the 16 National Division after leading Skyline Juniors to a fifth place finish...Also garnered Skyline Juniors 16 MVP honors in 2009 and received Best Defensive Player honors as a member of the 2011 Skyline Juniors 17 RoShamBo...Most memorable moment of athletics career is when Waxahachie defeated Red Oak in 2011, ending the Lady Hawks' 21-year, 237-match district winning streak...Praslicka finished that match with 17 kills, including the match winner, 16 assists and 12 digs? as the Lady Indians clinched a District 15-4A co-championship.

Kate Nicole Praslicka is the daughter of Gene and D'Etta Praslicka...Is the youngest of four children, her two brothers and her sister all graduated from Texas A&M...Began playing volleyball when she was 10... Made official recruiting visits to Texas A&M and North Texas, chose to play for the Aggies because, "it has been a dream of mine to play volleyball at A&M and I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity"...Has volunteered for Meals on Wheels and Seniors Helping Seniors...Was treasurer of the student council and also was a member of the National Honor Society and Future Farmers of America...Hobbies include painting and crafts, playing with her dogs and shopping...Plans to major in kinesiology, career ambition is to be a physical therapist...Born December 5, 1993 in Waxahachie, Texas.
