Tanner Olson is the son of Jeff and Teresa Olson of Saugus, Calif… born May 14, 1999 in Saugus, Calif… plans to major in technology management… has two siblings, Tara and Taylor… his father, Jeff, competed for Cal State Dominguez Hills track and field team… chose Texas A&M because “I've heard lots of great things about A&M from my family friends and my coaches.”

- NCAA Championships: Aided the 200 free relay to a fifth-place finish with a time of 1:15.79
- After breaking the 100 breast school record in prelims, lowered his own mark with a time of 51.39, also adding season-best times in the 50 free (19.39) and 200 breast (1:54.72) at the Art Adamson Invite.
- Helped the 200 free relay and 200 medley relay teams to top finishes and earn A-cut times to qualify for NCAA Championships.
2019-20 (Junior):
- At the Holiday Invite tri-meet (at Incarnate Word/vs. Trinity): won the 100 breast (55.99)
- Art Adamson Invite: Placed fourth and earned NCAA B-cut times in the 100 breast (52.68), 200 breast (1:56.25) and the 200 IM (1:46.69), in addition to getting an Olympic trial qualifying time in the 100 LCM breast (1:01.70) and the 200 LCM breast (2:15.28)
2018-19 (Sophomore):
- Posted an NCAA B-cut with a time of 1:57.43 in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing third at the Art Adamson Invitational
- Registered his first win of the season in the 100-yard breaststroke (57.09) against TCU
2017-18 (Freshman):
- SEC All-Freshman Team
- Swam in the 100 breaststroke (53.01) and 200 breaststroke (1:57.01) at NCAA Championships
- Won the consolation final of the 100 breaststroke at SEC Championships with a lifetime-best mark of 53.01
- Placed 6th in the 200 breast at SECs (1:54.29)
- Named SEC Freshman of the Week (Nov 21) after posting 3 NCAA ‘B’ cuts (100 breast, 200 breast, 200 IM) and a pair of third-place finishes (100 breast, 200 breast) at the Art Adamson Invitational
- 2017 graduate of Saugus High School
- Coached by Jim Klipfel and Krista Botton at Saugus High School
- Set school records in the 100 breaststroke, 500 freestyle and 200 IM
