AT TYLER JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played one season under Coach Doug Wren... tabbed NJCAA Division III Pitcher of the Year and earned NJCAA All-America First Team recognition last year... posted a 10-1 record with a 1.77 ERA, 68 strikeouts while issuing just seven walks in 76.1 innings... helped the Apache win the NJCAA Division III National Championship... played summer ball for Metro Summer League Giants and the East Texas Pumpjacks.
At PROSPER HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Coach Rick Carpenter... named all-district pitcher as a senior, helping lead his team to the regional semifinals... he played summer baseball for the Rawlings Mavericks... outside of sports he was involved in the student youth group at his church and FCA.
PERSONAL: Jace Addison Vines was born on September 4, 1994 in Dallas, Texas to John and Julie Vines who both attended Texas A&M... Has one younger brother Jackson… is a University Studies major with a business emphasis... enjoys playing golf and fishing... when he was 15 he spent a week on the Amazon River in Brazil for a mission trip... University studies major (business concentration with minors in sport management and economics).
