AT SMITHSON VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL: Earned two varsity letters for the Rangers pitching for Coach Chad Koehl... named one of the San Antonio Express-News Top 10 Area Players to Watch in 2016... tabbed to pitch in the 2015 San Antonio High School All-0Star Game... compiled a 6-2 record with a 2.08 ERA and 59 strikeouts a junior in 2015, earning All-District 25-6A First Team recognition... named to the Washington National Scout Team and Team Texas in 2015... earned all-district honorable mention in 2014.
 
PERSONAL: John Sebastian Kutac was born October 21, 1997 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Scott and Karen Kutac... has a pair of sisters, Natalie and Madeline... sister, Natalie, was the 2016-17 District 27-6A Goalkeeper MVP and currently plays at the University of Dallas... majoring in business management... grandfather, Harvey Kutac, was a member of the Aggies’ baseball team in the 1960s.
