AT ST. THOMAS HIGH SCHOOL: Four-time letter winner for Coach Adam Massiatte for St. Thomas High School in Houston... registered a 7-1 record with a 1.63 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, .184 opponent batting average and 86 strikeouts in 59.0 innings as a senior in 2021... helped squad reach state playoff semifinals in 2021... named TAPPS All-State First Team, TAPPS DI Post Season All-Tournament, All-TAPPS District 1-4 First Team, THSB TAPPS DI Top 25 and St. Thomas High School Pitcher of the ear as a senior... tallied a 3.08 ERA, 28 strikeouts over 25 innings pitched before 2020 season was cut short due to COVID... also logged eight runs, two doubles, three RBI and eight stolen bases in 2020... registered a 1-1 record with a 1.85 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 22.2 innings as a sophomore in 2019... also logged nine runs and seven RBI in 2019... named TAPPS All-District 1-4 Second Team while finishing as state runner-up in 2019... played summer ball for the Banditos Scout Team and Team Elite and set the record for the top outfield velocity in the country (97 mph) for the 2021 class… was a two-time Perfect Game Preseason All-American, a Perfect Game All-Tournament team member, earned the Banditos Scout Team Leadership Award and was a 2019 Perfect Game Underclass All-American.

PERSONAL: John (Will) William Rizzo was born on December 17, 2002 in Houston, Texas to Dan and Kristine Rizzo... has two siblings, Danielle Cunningham and Nicholas Rizzo... has five family members who have attended Texas A&M... delegate of the National Honor Society and a St. Thomas Club member for life... earned honor roll in every semester in high school and had a 4.5 GPA... majoring in business administration… his goal is to get to Heaven and help others get there and to help the less fortunate... enjoys training and getting better at baseball.
