Will Fox enters his sixth season on the staff and his first as an assistant coach as the Aggies embark on the 2024 campaign. Previously he spent the last three seasons as the director of video and analytics and his first two as director of player personnel and video coordinator.
The Maroon & White have had ample success during Fox's tenure in Aggieland, putting together a 179-92 record. Fox has also helped Texas A&M to three NCAA Tournament appearances and two trips to the College World Series.
In 2023, Fox assisted the Aggies in reaching new heights as the team compiled a 53-15 record and advanced to the College World Series Finals for the first time in program history. The squad's four wins in Omaha were the most in school annals, while the 53 victories are tied for the second most in Texas A&M history.
The Aggies followed a trip to Omaha in his inaugural season by pushing his squad to the title games of both the SEC Tournament and the Stanford Regional, finishing the year with a 38-27 mark.
After Fox’s first campaign in the Brazos Valley in 2020, the Aggies had three players drafted in the first 50 picks for the first time in school annals. The Maroon & White were the only squad to have three players taken in the first selections of that season’s MLB Draft with Asa Lacy (4th), Zach DeLoach (43rd) and Christian Roa (48th) all getting scooped up.
Fox arrived in Aggieland after two seasons on the coaching staff at his alma mater McNeese State University. He helped McNeese to a Southland Conference Tournament championship and a No. 3 seed in an NCAA Regional as a volunteer assistant coach in 2019, assisting with the pitching staff. In 2018, he served as a student assistant.
A two-year letter winner for McNeese, in 2017, Fox he helped the Cowboys win the Southland Conference championship for the first time in 11 years.
He played in 56 games for McNeese in 2017, hitting .291 with 35 runs, eight doubles, two triples, one home run and 26 RBI. In 2016, he hit .258 with five doubles, three triples and 21 RBI.
Fox started his collegiate playing career at TCU, appearing in seven games as a freshman in 2014. He played the 2015 campaign at McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas.
A native of Montgomery, Texas, Fox is married to Carolyn (Windham) and the couple has two daughters, Presley and Charlotte.
