JUNIOR (2019) – Outdoors: Scored in the 10,000m at SEC Championships, placing fifth with a career best of 34:24.65, moving to No. 8 performer on A&M all-time list … Finished 13th in the SEC 5,000m with a career best of 16:40.35, which ranks No. 9 performer on Aggie all-time list … Contested the 10,000m in NCAA West Preliminary round, placing 24th in 34:44.62 … Started the outdoor campaign with a pair of 5,000m races, placing third at Baldy Castillo Invitational (17:04.02) and fifth at Texas Relays (17:00.54) … Then raced at 1,500m in finishing 14th at Reveille Meet (4:38.97) and ninth at Texas A&M Invitational (4:51.81) … Competed in 5,000m at Bryan Clay Invitational, producing a time of 16:43.34 in 5,000m. PERSONAL: Ashley Elizabeth Driscoll was born in San Antonio, Texas, on October 1, 1997… Hometown is Round Rock… Daughter of Patrick & Karen Driscoll… Siblings are Zachary and Haley… Started competing in track and field at age 13… Great uncles, Richard and Bobby Engelbert, graduated from A&M… Community service and extracurricular activities include FCA, a Grace Group, and volunteering at Sacred Heart Community Clinic, also helped out at church camps throughout high school and college… Chose A&M because, "It was the best fit for me academically, athletically, and spiritually! I love the atmosphere at Texas A&M and how much pride every Aggie takes in their school. Also, I knew that Texas A&M would provide me with the resources and opportunities to be the best version of myself that I could be."… Majoring in Biomedical Sciences.
Career goal: I would love to be a doctor! I would like to be a pediatrician, neonatologist, or oncologist.
I chose Track & Field over other sports because: I think running is so much fun, and I love how everyone can celebrate personal improvements, and how dedication correlates to success and improvements.
Something most people don't know about me: I lived in Singapore from when I was in first grade through third grade, where I learned some Chinese and about a lot of different cultures, and rode on some elephants!
Top three things on my bucket list: I want to be an All-American, go on a medical mission trip, and travel to Africa.
Hobbies or activities: Reading, spending time with family and friends, and hiking!
