2017: Eighth in the 3,000 steeplechase at the SEC Championships in 10:31.78. making her No. 2 on the all-time A&M list… Recorded three of the top-10 times in A&M history in the steeplechase… Seventh at the USATF Junior Championships… Won the 2,000 steeple in 7:02.14 at the UTSA Roadrunner Invitational… Set indoor personal best of 10:03.22 in the 3,000 at the Charlie Thomas Invitational… Best 5,000 of 17:31.28 at SEC Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas, in 2016… Competed in 800, 1,600 and 3,200, and cross country… Member of 2015 State 6A champion cross country team ... In 2014, she was part of cross country team that placed second in State 6A meet and helped her team qualify for Nike Cross Nationals ... PERSONAL: Ashton Brooke Hutcherson was born in Carrollton, Texas, on January 16, 1998… Hometown is Highland Village, Texas… Daughter of Bradley & Karla Hutcherson… Sibling is Conner, also an A&M student… Grandfather and aunt graduated from A&M… Started competing in track and field at age 13… Community service and extracurricular activities include FCA, American Medical Student Association, BUILD, Aggieland Humane Society, art and piano… Majoring in Biomedical Sciences.
Career goal: Doctor who studies and treats human diseases
I chose Track & Field over other sports because: I’m naturally talented at running and nothing else athletic!!!
