(2019) – Outdoors: Competing in the 400m hurdles, produced her best time of 1:04.74 to finish fifth in the A&M Alumni Muster … Started with a 1:05.40 to place eighth in The Reveille Meet, finished ninth in the Texas A&M Invitational (1:08.23) and ran 1:05.02 in the Michael Johnson Invitational to place second in her section. Indoors: Raced once, competing in the 400m (60.21) to place 10th in the Texas A&M Triangular.
PREP: Sixth in the Arizona Division I state meet in the 300 hurdles in 2017… Won three 300m hurdles races as a senior… Had a best in high school of 45.42 in the 300H, set in 2016, and 15.40 in the 100H, also in 2016… Third in the 300H in 2016 at Arizona Meet of Champions.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2017, with 1st Honors… Competed in the 100H, 300H and relays… Coached by Airabin Justin and Muhammed Oliver… Also competed in tennis, soccer and badminton… Ran for Showtyme TC in summer track… Community service and extracurricular activities included National Charity League, National Honors Society, Ryan House Teen Board.
PERSONAL: Annie Emery Grant was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on October 3, 1998… Daughter of James & Jennifer Grant… Siblings are Ryan, Robert and Leila… Brother, Robert, is currently a track and field athlete at A&M… Started competing in track and field when she was 14… Member of Delta Gamma Sorority… Majoring in Kinesiology (Motor Behavior).
Career goal: Speech Pathology
I chose Track & Field over other sports because: I have the passion for it and love the way it sets apart from other sports
