Ben Crenshaw began overseeing team security for the Texas A&M football program in August 2021 and has been assisting with the team’s game day and road security since 2010.
Crenshaw oversees all facets of the Aggies’ team security both at home and on the road, and he is also responsible for safeguarding the head football coach and staff.
He began his full-time role with the Aggies after retiring from Texas A&M’s University Police Department after 31 years of service in June of 2021.
A product of the TEEX Central Texas Police Academy, Crenshaw joined UPD in 1990. He served in various leadership positions in the Field Operations Division and achieved the rank of Lieutenant in 2007. He served as the Criminal Investigation Division Lieutenant until his retirement.
A native of Iola, Texas, Crenshaw and his wife, Tracy, have two adult sons, Andrew and Adam.
