- Assistant Director of Football Strength & Conditioning
Brandon Stegall joined the Texas A&M football staff in December 2023 as the assistant director of football strength & conditioning.
In his role on Mike Elko’s staff, Stegall contributes to the design and implementation of the Aggies’ strength & conditioning program and works directly with the defensive backs and specialist groups.
Stegall came to Texas A&M after serving in a similar role on Elko’s staff at Duke University for the 2023 season when the Blue Devils earned a berth in the Birmingham Bowl.
Prior to his time in Durham, Stegall spent seven seasons at East Carolina University, including the final five seasons as assistant strength & conditioning coach where he contributed to the design and implementation of total body strength and conditioning programs for football team during the pre-season, in-season and off-season. Additionally, he worked with the Pirates’ volleyball, track and field and men’s golf teams. Serving as a graduate assistant from 2016-18, he assisted with football, as well as women’s basketball, baseball softball, track and field, swimming and diving, women’s tennis and cheerleading squads.
He began his career at his alma mater, Campbell University, as a quality control/defensive assistant coach where he assisted with the Fighting Camels’ defensive line (2014) and defensive backs (2015). He transitioned to strength & conditioning in 2016 where he assisted with the football, baseball, lacrosse, track and field and cheer squads.
A native of Davidson, N.C., Stegall earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science with a minor in business administration from Campbell in 2014 and added a master’s in exercise science in 2016. He was a defensive back on the Camels football team from 2010-13 and served as a team captain as a senior. He was named to the Pioneer Conference Academic Honor Roll three times.
Stegall is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
