Connor Neighbors joined the Texas A&M football staff in January 2026 as the associate director of football strength & conditioning.
Neighbors arrived in Aggieland after serving as director of athletic performance for football at the University of Louisiana, where he developed and implemented off-season, summer and in-season training programs for the Cajun football team.
Prior to his time at Louisiana, Neighbors served as assistant football strength and conditioning coach at LSU under Tommy Moffitt from 2018-21 and Florida Atlantic University from 2017-18, and held internships in strength and conditioning with football and baseball at the University of Alabama and football at LSU.
A certified strength and conditioning specialist, Neighbors earned a bachelor’s degree in science management with a minor in communication studies from LSU.
Neighbors was a two-year starter at fullback for the LSU football team and helped the Tigers to the 2011 SEC Championship. He was named LSU’s co-offensive most outstanding player as a senior in 2014. He is a member of the All-Time LSU Strength & Conditioning Team and earned the 2013 Jeff Boss Unsung Hero Award and Alvin Roy Off-Season Awards in 2011 and 2012. He earned an invitation to 2015 Senior Bowl, becoming the first third-generation player to play in the prestigious all-star game.
