Delvin Jones joined the Texas A&M football staff in January 2024 as the director of external football operations.
Jones arrived in Aggieland after serving as director of football operations on Mike Elko’s staff at Duke University, where he oversaw team travel, daily and long-term operations and managed special events for the Blue Devils. He created and managed Duke Football Camps LLC, leading to a significant increase in camp participation and revenue, and served as the lead for Duke’s NFL Pro Day, coordinating with prospects, scouts, and media. Jones also acted as a liaison between football and campus partners, coordinated player family events, and assisted with recruiting visit days.
Prior to his time at Duke, Jones was director of football operations at Fordham University, managing all aspects of daily administrative operations, team logistics and official visit weekends, while also serving as the program’s NFL liaison. He previously held the role of football operations coordinator at Georgia Tech, where he managed team travel, enforced COVID-19 protocols and directed high school and prospect camps.
Jones’s background also includes experience as assistant athletic director for finance at Florida Gulf Coast University, as well as roles in financial operations and business management at Georgia Tech and Georgia State. He began his career with internships in football operations and community relations with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs.
A native of New Orleans, Jones earned his master’s degree in sports management from LSU and his bachelor’s degree in public relations with a minor in business administration from Xavier University of Louisiana.
