Kate Rosenberg was hired as the Director of Football NIL in July 2025 to oversee and manage all aspects of the football program’s name, image and likeness activities. In her role, she develops and implements NIL strategies, educates student-athletes on opportunities and ensures compliance with NCAA regulations.
Rosenberg is a licensed attorney who previously served at Lyda Law Firm, advising clients in the sports and entertainment industries. Her work included contract negotiation, intellectual property matters, compliance and branding strategies.
Prior to her time at Lyda, Rosenberg spent a year at the University of Texas at Arlington as the Director of Name, Image and Likeness. There, she developed UTA’s NIL program, led educational efforts with student-athletes and organized workshops featuring local business leaders, sponsors and alumni.
A 2023 graduate of Texas A&M University School of Law, Rosenberg served as president of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society after previously holding the vice president role. She also served on the executive board for Intellectual Property Aggies, a student organization focused on intellectual property law.
In her free time, Rosenberg created the Sports Law Girl blog, where she writes about issues at the intersection of athletics and the law. She is also a contributor to Conduct Detrimental: The Sports Law Podcast.
